Update as of Sept 18th

So even though there were a lot of things that's happened in my non-stitchy world, there's very limited progress in my stitchy world. :) The traveling didn't help and I've just been feeling kinda blah on my WIP's. The L*K stamp series was still really fun to stitch but it's also too huge to drag an afghan around. I am done with February though and here's what it looks like below!

Here's the update below on my less = more flips by Lizzie Kate as well. This part is whine less, breathe more and that's where I am right now.

I've always wanted to stitch a Halloween piece and I figured this is a great time to do it and Mel from ILCS inspired me to go shopping in my stash to see what I can stitch that's Halloween-themed and I think I have just the piece! Hopefully I'll be able to put a picture up of that soon once I get on it!

Also, tonight is the Celebration of Needlework here in St Charles, MO and I'll be going to meet the designers and organizers tonight and I think there's a free lecture on samplers too. Can't wait to get there and mingle with other stitchers! Hopefully I'll be able to put up an update on that soon. Saturday is of course THE day I'm most looking forward to, can you say Stash Shopping?!?!? :)

Fall approaching!!

Well it's been awhile since I've had the chance to update the blog. Lots has happened, college football season started, NFL football season, we're fast approaching fall where the temps are falling and getting closer to when baby #2 makes an appearance! Fall has always been my favorite season - the smell of pumpkin pie baking, apple cider and the cooler temps...yum!

We started the month of September by traveling to East Lansing, MI where we caught the Boise State game at Michigan State U. That was a hard game for me to be at - 7 1/2 mths pregnant and trying not to get steamrolled over by enthusiastic college kids! Since we were there over Labor Day holiday, we decided to stop by  in Detroit, MI and also cross that river over into Windsor, Canada. That was truly an adventure! Here are a couple of pictures below...

This picture to the left was taken as we were driving back from Windsor, Canada back into Detroit, MI. We'll be coming back, Canada!! :)

DH has also taken a sudden interest in sprucing up the front of the house with flowers and such to make it all pretty for the fall so here are some of the beautiful flowers at the front of the house..

Mums and some purple cattail thingy....but it looks cute and there's one on each side of the front door.
My Asiatic Lily and mums in our planter box...it's all starting to bloom...sooo pretty!

And last but definitely not least, my miniature rose bush!!!
